Adult Volunteers
Scouting couldn’t happen without adults. Each and every volunteer, no matter what their role, provides young people with the life skills, confidence, purpose and values that they can use to thrive and succeed whilst being an assist to their community. Not to mention having fun and adventure along the way!
Adult volunteers come from every background you can imagine and are regular people that want to make a difference and get involved in supporting young people. Our group has a great set of friendly adults who do a variety of roles from Section Leaders to Group Exec members. Everyone plays their part to support the group.
If you would like to consider volunteering with the group, we can work with you to find a role that suits you. Volunteering is flexible so even if you can’t attend regularly or work shifts we will be able to accommodate you. There are roles within Scouting that can suit anyone from Section Leaders, Administrators and Trustees to Occasional Helpers. You don’t need any previous experience, or to have been a Scout in the past. We can provide you will all the help and support you need. Along with The Scout Associations full training programme we will fully support you in your chosen role.
Many adult volunteers feel that they get as much out of Scouting as the young people. Learning new skills and taking part in experiences that they would be unlikely to have the opportunity to do without Scouting.
