Beaver Scouts (6-8)
Beavers is the youngest section of the Scouting family. The Beaver Colony is made up of boys and girls aged between six and eight years old. Beavers is a great introduction to Scouting for young people allowing many of them to experience outdoor activities for the first time whilst making friends and having fun!
During term time our Beaver Colony meets weekly at our Scout Hut on Thursday evenings from 18.15 to 19.30. Taking part in a varied programme of activities, featuring masses of games and crafts including painting, drawing, cooking (and eating!) – all providing ample opportunity to let off steam, learn new skills, make new friends and have loads of FUN!
Beavers can also obtain a variety of awards and badges such as the IT badge and the Animal Friend badge.
The colony also takes part in sleepovers often giving young people their first experience of being away from home without mum and dad.
