Cub Scouts (8-10.5)

The Cub section caters for boys and girls aged between eight and ten years old. Cub Packs are split into smaller groups called Sixes and take part in a wide range of interesting and challenging activities. A Cub Pack meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors.

During term time our Cub Pack meets weekly on Wednesday evenings between 18:45 and 20:00. There are loads of fun and challenging things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, climbing, fire lighting, computing and collecting. This all goes towards earning Cub Scout badges. Additionally, Cubs in 1st Datchet Sea Scout Group get the chance to try water activities during the summer.

Cubs also get to go on trips and days out to places like the zoo, theme parks, farms and even Gilwell Park (the home of UK Scouting). Cubs camp with the rest of their Pack, sleeping in a tent and spending the day doing loads of challenging outdoor activities and games.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
